A high ph can result in anything ranging from common acid-reflex to cancer. To those who think Rubin's book is bad theology, one would have to look at the Greek of Mark 7:19. The words "Thus he declared all foods clean" are not there, and are inserted as a measure of smoothing out the syntax eisegetically.
