Serves The Purpose Of Great Art! This book serves the purpose of great art, which is to allow us to understand another culture, another mind, another religion -- to make us all more compassionate and understand that as human beings we all must endure great sorrow and pain. This book opened my heart -- and it couldn't be more timely: in light of the conflicts we are having in that region. This is the story of friendship, of culture, of tragedy, ultimately of hope.
