I loved this book! There's not much I can say about "The Kite Runner" that hasn't been said in the reviews below. Certainly the "secret" is shocking, and the writing is good-not great, but very solid and stable. And the plotting is well thought out. While I wasn't disappointed in this book at all, the fact that it took place over such a long period of time initially turned me off. But by the time I got to the end, I was sold. The only other book I've come across that intrigued me this much was Jackson McCrae's "The Children's Corner" with its insight into the human soul (or lack thereof). I truly believe that KITE will take its place among the classics.
