Core Information for a Successful, Happy Marriage... ...IF you use it!! This book is so fantastic! It is an easy read and the material seems so obvious you sit there nodding to yourself as the chapters go by. Finally you think - "I get it!" I have read this book at least 3 times. It's always good, it's always true, and I always pull something away from it and am gently reminded that to receive you must first give. The "Five Love Languages" is really a simple concept. After I read it, my husband read it. He even wrote notes in the sidebars. We talked about it after he was finished. I later bought my Mom the book, my dad the book (Five Love Languages for Men), and now that my husband is deployed overseas, I sent him the Male Version in one of his care packages. This is a book that you will not only want to read, but keep for future reference and reminders about what it takes to have and keep a good marriage. If you read it with an open heart...this will be one of the best book purchases of your life. You can even apply the principals to the rest of your life long relationships/friendships. Part of the book is about looking past your own wants and needs to your mates wants and needs...but it doesn't leave you in the dark. The book tells you what to look for...gives you ideas on what to do. Inevitably, you BOTH come away winners. You may even discover something about yourself you didn't know. You won't be disappointed!! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!
