Mind Blowing Stuff

Brian Greene's talent in the area of physic is only surpassed by his able to distill complex ideas and theories into simple, crisp, easy to read prose. Do not get me wrong, this is not to say that this book is always easy to read (much less understand!) but that Greene provides the layman with the keys to understanding these theories if you are willing to put the effort in. I do not think that there is a section of the book that I didn't have to reread at least twice before I felt that I really grasped the concepts fully. Despite that, the book is not intimidating (with many a helpful illustration). Green's tone throughout the work is very encouraging; the tone of someone who wants to show you what he loves, so that you too can share in it.

An excellent follow-up to Greene's first book The Elegant Universe. (I actually found this one easier to read but that might be because I am more familiar with the concepts than I was four years ago.)
