America is political satire at its very best

America is political satire at its very best, half-true, all funny, one of the most dangerous "textbooks" in America. But you have to know a little bit about American government to get the joke, and that's good, too. It's amazing that Jon Stewart could put into print the elements of his television show. It's an intriguing and ironic book, and I believe a small friend to democracy.

This book puts me in the mind of The Onion. I particularly like the portrayal of the Supreme Court Justices, which led to the book being banned by a South Mississippi library (I find this story particularly funny as a librarian. Library administration gave in quickly, placing the book back on the shelves. I bet the incident sold Stewart 100,000 books and found him many new readers!). Yeah, this book is no friend to censorship or people with too much starch on their collars. I highly recommended it.
