Have I been here before? A montage of a fast lane american broker becoming acclimated with the Italian culture and taking time to learn about the finer things in life. The author's descriptions were masterful and the intrigue was passable, but I was left unsatisfied at the end. The story kept building to a grand creciendo that never came about. At least the book was short enough that I didn't feel like I wasted a monumental amount of time. Exciting, entertaining, informative and smart at times, but overall a disappointing result.
