POWERFUL STUFF This Sin City graphic novel is one of Miller's best. Hartigan is Miller's most likable Sin City hero as he is a rare honest cop who will not back down for anyone. There is a lot of good drawing;the image of Harigan in a floating cell underscores his isolation in prison is one of the best examples. Miller may be the best artist in using black and white to create mood perspective and contrast. The grim ending is a little too nihilistic for my taste but this is a quality work.
