One of his best... After reading the mixed reviews of this book, I was worried it wouldn't be very good. I was pleasantly surprised, however, as I found State of Fear to be one of Crichton's best books. I suspect that many of the reviews posted here are politically motivated, i.e., if one believes in global warming they'll give a poor review and if one doesn't, they'll provide a good review. Interestingly, if this is true, it is actually a validation of the book's premise...
