Oh, Please I just can't believe all the hype about this book. This woman is not a good writer. Didn't anyone else get tired of hearing about what she was eating and drinking. And her elaborate descriptions didn't even help me keep the young women straight. I stuck with it because I really thought there was going to be something worthwhile that I got from it. I may try the ice cream with coffee and nuts on it. As for Iranian history, try Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis. It is beautiful and poignant. She doesn't eat any ice cream though.
