Good Words in Important, Difficult Debate

Many of the reviews here and by critics have attacked this book for being whiny or only serving a narrow slice of upscale, big-city Moms, but I think that's reactionary. This is a very smart, well-written book that frames many of the key issues of today's motherhood, and the truth is there is no real answer--no one can earn enough money, spend enough time with her kids, and have enough of a personal life--it's simply impossible. Warner's book clearly debates how to FACE that dilemma, not how to solve it. On a different and lighter note, I'm a big fan of a wonderful book about a man who juggles his life/work/ marriage/family priorities, "I Sleep At Red Lights: A True Story of Life After Triplets," by Bruce Stockler. A great read.
