Half the story

While I commend Judith Warner for continuing the discussion of modern motherhood, I can't help but feel that she left half the story out. Where is the discussion of mothers who, for the most part, are content with their lives? It seems as if she talked to each mom on her lowest day, at her lowest moment (and we all have them) but neglected to ask about the high points, the things we do get right. I wonder, too, why the quotes are not attributed--would the women have changed their words if they knew they would be quoted? Or are they composites of all comments? Ultimately, this book is a reflection of the problem it describes--it lacks the balance that could have made it a great book.
