Never forget this is fiction!
I bought this book thinking the authors did a good job investigating all their claims.
And indeed when you read the book, it all seems very convincing and you get the impression the authors did their homework.
Unfortunately: none of what is stated in the book is true. It seems that this book just supports an old hoax.
They claim that this book took years of investigation. However: a simple investigation of a couple of minutes on the internet will show you the real facts.
Seems to me they did not investigate much, and just wanted to write a bestseller.
If you are interested about the truth just go to:
http://priory-of-sion.com
There you can find the real facts.
Do not visit that website if you have just started reading the book, or it will spoil the fun.
If you just want to read an awesome story: read the book. It is actually a very good book and it is very difficult to put it down. But always remember that it is just fiction. Just as the famous "Da Vinci code".
All these books use the same old hoax and almost all facts that they present are made up by somebody or are wrong interpretations.
But again: first read the book or it will spoil the fun!
I will in fact never buy a book from these authors again. The first book I bought from them about the Dead Sea Scrolls also proved to contain more fiction then facts, altough they like to present it as facts!
If they would have made a remark on the flap that this was all fiction I would have congratulated them with their awesome stories. The fact that they try to sell this a real facts makes me feel that they are the ones who have to hide something, and not Sauniere!
They can not claim not to know the real facts because they were informed before they published the book by their own contact persons that all of the Priory of Sion and all related materials were just a hoax. I think the money was more important then the truth.
Always check these things yourself!
