A must have regardless of parenting orientation
I think this book is a MUST for a parent regardless of whether or not you follow the cry-it-out approach, or attachment parenting approach. This FANTASTIC book presents scientific info as to the nature of an infant's sleep, as well as an invaluable schedule to follow that conforms to biological sleep patterns (held up by scientific research). And, the text is sprinkled throughout with very useful real-life examples from parents. I personally am following the attachment parenting approach and after 4 days of following this book for my six month old daughter, have already experienced great improvements in her napping and nightime sleep habits. I can't live without this book!
