Mother of two healthy, happy sleepers
My Pediatrician recommended this book when my son was only 10 days old. I immediately read it cover to cover and put everything I learned into practice. Between 6-8 weeks my son was sleeping through the night (7pm - 6am). He woke up at 6am for a feeding and was down again until 8am. He went down for naps without a problem. He is now 22 months old and is the single best sleeper I have ever known. I get comments from other parents wondering how I get him to bed at 6pm even now! When I had my baby girl almost 3 months ago, I was worried that I wouldn't have the same results. I couldn't have been more wrong! She has fallen right into the same routine my son had at her age. She sleeps through the night and takes naps like a gem. So the concepts are not age-specific. The best part is my children are HAPPY. They wake up happy and are a joy to be around during the day. If they get cranky, I know they need to rest. Because they have such healthy sleep habits, when I need to keep them out for an appointment or they are up late due to circumstances, they easily adjust and get back on target the next day. I cannot praise this book enough. It is now a "must have" when I buy gifts for new moms or moms-to-be.
