The Start of Something Good...
Five minutes ago, I finished reading chapter 10 of Tom Sawyer to my three sons. The oldest of the three has reached his teens and still likes the bed-time story. We've turned many pages together since we started with this one 13 years ago. I don't think my children ever enjoyed a book more than Goodnight Moon. Don't think I ever did either.
Highly recommend that you pick up "The Read-Aloud Handbook" if you don't have it already. Not that you need a handbook to read to your children, but the encouragement it will give you (and the list of other possible books) should help make Goodnight Moon the start of something magical.
