Having this on your shelf won't make your company great
A certain company I know had a CEO that thought this was the greatest book ever and he tried to shove it down his upper management's throat. Upper management, in turn tried to feed it to the lower levels. At the same time, they had yet another reorganization and fired a bunch of people that knew what they were doing and promoted some more people that didn't. There were meetings to determine what sort of things might improve morale. The meetings proved pointless - which made morale only worse. Eventually the CEO was ousted. Morale continuted to slide downward. Sometimes employees were rounded up and yelled at about how much the company cared and how great it was still going to be. But the little boy with the faux wolf would have a better chance of convincing staff. Morale slid so far down employees rapelled to work. I new CEO was found. The employees didn't care. They shuffled in and out until they found other jobs or alternative passes to freedom.
In other words, you can read this or you can read toilet paper (yes, the "blank" kind) but if you can't implement it or fail to implement it...you might find yourself worse off than you were before.
