A great book on Christian work in the world Jim Wallis, the man behind Sojourners, has written a great book on Christian work in the world. He is taking the language of faith away from the religious nuts that seem to scream the loudest and end up getting heard most often. This is a common sense, non-reactionary, non-propaganda-based look at politics and faith in America. I wish every church in America would read this book. Our churches would be better places of service (more salt and light), our families stronger, our world safer, and our communities a better place to live. In the end, we would be more like Christ and less like a crazed man holding a Bible in one hand and a pistol in the other. I'm for the change. This is a fine book to read over a weekend.
