Skim it. While I'm a general supporter of Wallis and Sojourners, I must say that this book has been a significant disappointment. Falling into repititious cliches of his own making like intellectual hiccups, Wallis has bored me so well that it took about two months to finish what should have been no more than week's worth of leisurely exertion. Here Wallis has poorly cobbled together his previous work in the Soujourner's weekly email lacking new insight information. A little more care to cohesivity and eliminating such phrases as "with the bible in one hand and the constitution in the other" whenever MLK was mentioned would have increased its readibility and decreased the bulk by about 200 pages. That said, I think his point is an important one and deserves attention. However, it would be much more digestible if those interested would subscribe to the weekly Soujourner's emails than try to wade through this murky and overweight work.
