Positively Absurd
If I could rate this book lower than a single star, I would. French Woman Don't Get Fat, in my opinion, is written by a self promoting, high income woman who has a very different life from most Americans.
There isn't a SINGLE diet tip in this book, that any good diet-book reader, hasn't learned! Unless you consider CHANGING PLATES WITH EVERY COURSE or drinking soup for two days straight, to be something you'd like to try.
I found plugging her other businesses blatant as well as tasteless, which is exactly how I found her advice. America isn't set up like France and that is a MAJOR reason we have different bodies.
Ride your bike to work? Oh yes, in high shoes and a fantastic lip gloss application, I'm going to mount a bicycle and manuver it through Los Angeles rush-hour traffic, twice daily. Get fresh produce every other day? Certainly, with a husband and full time job, I have nothing better to do than meander endlessly through grocery stores, selecting the perfect tomato.
Impractical and pompous to say the least. If you'd like a new diet book, keep moving.
