`everyday italian' by Giada De Laurentiis is a book I would very much like to praise, as her Food Network show is one of my favorites, just after Alton Brown's `Good Eats' and Mr. Food Network Italian, Mario Batali's aging `Molto Mario' which looks better... more

I like the book and the recipies
Giada De Laurentiis gives great tasting recipies in this book. They are simple, easy to follow and prepare. I disagree with another reviewer about the pictures, anyone can make anything look good in a photo, it's the substance of the recipies that matters... more

Excellent recipes - poor choice in photos
I'm quite happy with this book - the recipes are easy, explained well and tasty. One side comment: there are 125 recipes, not all of them have a picture of the food, but there must be about 500 pictures of Ms De Laurentiis in this book. That is a poor... more

"Bravissima Giada!!"

I PERSONALLY DO NOT LISTEN TO OPINIONS OF THOSE
WHO ARE NOT ITALIAN TO BEGIN WITH! BEING AND ITALIAN AMERICAN AND COMING FROM A HEAVILY TRADITIONAL ITALIAN FAMILY, I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEEEEE GIADA'S COOKBOOK. THOSE REVIEWERS WHO ARE NOT FOND OF HER BOOK ARE NOT ITALIAN AND THEREFORE DO NOT RELATE TO... more

Its title is just that........"Everyday Italian"
I get such a kick out of some of the reviews on here being rather snobbish about this book with comments like, "not for the seasoned cook". Come on now......it shouldn't take a "seasoned cook" nor a rocket scientist to figure out that this book is exactly... more

I can actually cook these!
I usually rate a cookbook by the amount of odd items I will have to buy. The more I have to buy to make a recipe, the less inclined I am to try.

I am happy to report that I could cook most of the recipes from things already on my shelves.... more
