still a selfish egocentric prick
I first heard John at Powell's in Portland several months ago and saw him on Democracy now. It was a lively discussion and he was thrown a few hardballs. He has some intersting things to say, but his book lacks flow and continuity, and the last 60-80 pages are void of anything useful. It starts good, and gets worse as it goes, but luckily it is an easy read so I didn;t waste too much time. I believe he got into his field because he was a self serving sob, and I think he wrote this book just to be seen as an altruistic hero-more ego gratification.
