Conscience and Economics I found this book fascinating. Mr. Perkins explains so many things about events in the world for the last 35 years that I had some misconceptions about -- especially the Panama Canal. I find that the author is extremely articulate. Although I don't understand economics that well, he made complex conceptions about global economies clearer. This book will definitely make readers re-think the role of the United States in world economics if that reader will view it with an open mind. My only problem with the book is his bothered conscience cropping up so frequently right from the beginning of his career but his inability to do something about that for so long. But it makes me ask myself what would I eventually do?
