Brown doesn't know much about Catholicism I hope I'm not giving away anything here, but near the end we're told that a certain two parties had a child together through artificial insemination, and therefore "commited no sin" under Catholic doctrine. Brown needs to check his catechism again. The fact that this error is critical to the book's ending calls into question the reliability of any of Brown's statements about the church and church law.
